Herbert E. Goodfriend, Senior Vice President, provides consulting services for U.S. and foreign insurance enterprises, including life, health, property, casualty and reinsurance carriers. He has more than 35 years experience as an investment banker, securities analyst and consultant specializing in insurance. Herb assists clients with capital management strategies, rating agency assistance, mergers and acquisitions, valuations and raising capital. Prior to joining Gill and Roeser in 2000, he held senior management positions at major U.S. investment banking and accounting firms. He is past President and a continuing charter member of the Association of Insurance and Financial Analysts of New York (AIFA), a member of the Society of Insurance Research, a former President and Director of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a member of the NYSSA and its parent, the Association of Investment Management and Research. He was named many times to the Institutional Investor magazine's "All American Team" of analysts. Herb has spoken before such groups as the RAA, AIA, AIPSO, IASA, Society of Actuaries, CPCU, Casualty Actuaries Society, IRU and ISO. He is a frequent contributor to professional journals, textbooks and trade publications, serving more than a decade as guest contributor to A.M.Best Co.'s monthly reports.
