Kirk Roeser FSA, MAAA, is Chairman and Co-founder of Gill and Roeser. Kirk and his partner Ardian Gill formed Gill and Roeser in 1983. An actuary by training, Kirk understands the risks inherent in reinsurance and insurance. He has been on the cutting edge of numerous reinsurance and insurance product innovations over the years. Kirk also has an established track record of developing and implementing the appropriate capital management strategies for clients. Prior to forming Gill and Roeser, Kirk was a senior manager for the American operations of Swiss Reinsurance Co., one of the world's largest reinsurers. Through his initiative and guidance, Swiss Re entered the finite and financial reinsurance business, which grew to become one of its major global product lines. Kirk began his insurance career at MONY, Mutual of New York, where he held various technical and managerial positions, ultimately becoming responsible for that company's mergers and acquisitions. In 1975, he formed MONY Re, a property and casualty reinsurer. Kirk graduated from Brown University with a major in mathematics. During his career, he has served on numerous technical, actuarial and reinsurance panels throughout the U.S. and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
